相即設計專訪
"The Catalyst for Becoming an Interior Designer"
相即設計總監擁有建築系與研究所共八年的專業背景。原本的人生規劃似乎是成為建築師，但在研究所期間，他便開始接案，並逐漸發現自己對空間設計的熱情。
「我高中其實是文組，大學跨組念建築。建築需要理性思維，但我始終熱愛設計，也因此走上室內設計這條路。」
從住宅案開始累積經驗，一步步建立自己的設計理念，也開啟了相即設計近二十年的發展歷程。
The Design Director of XJ Studio studied architecture for eight years through university and graduate school. Although he was originally on the path to becoming an architect, freelance projects during graduate school led him to discover his passion for interior design.
“I came from a humanities background before studying architecture. While architecture requires logic and technical thinking, I’ve always been passionate about design, which ultimately led me to this profession.”
Starting with residential projects, he gradually developed his design philosophy and laid the foundation for nearly 20 years of growth at XJ Studio.
The Evolution of XJ Studio
從扎根到拓展，走出屬於相即設計的成長軌跡
創立近二十年來，相即設計從未為自己設下特定框架。
總監常以「三個六年」來形容公司的成長歷程。
第一個六年，是扎實累積實力的階段。從小坪數住宅到小型辦公室。對他們而言，每一次委託都是養成專業的重要機會。
第二個六年，則是在客戶口碑推薦下逐漸拓展版圖。團隊開始接觸更多商業空間與連鎖品牌案件，也透過參與社團與產業交流活動，建立起豐富的人脈網絡。這段期間累積的經驗與信任，讓相即設計逐步獲得上市櫃企業的青睞。
「一開始會覺得上市公司很遙遠、很有壓力，但後來發現，只要擁有專業與想法，就有能力站在同一個高度對話。」
而來到第三個六年，相即設計開始與建設公司合作，參與接待中心與公共設施空間規劃。過去累積的住宅經驗、商業空間經驗與團隊能量，在此階段逐漸被放大，也讓設計的影響力延伸至更多元的場域。
Since its founding nearly 20 years ago, XJ Studio has never limited itself to a specific type of project.
The Design Director often describes the company’s journey in three six-year phases.
The first six years were focused on building a strong foundation. From residential projects to small offices, every commission was an opportunity to gain experience and refine the team’s expertise.
During the second six years, the firm expanded through client referrals and word-of-mouth recommendations. The team took on more commercial and chain-brand projects, gradually earning the trust of publicly listed companies.
“At first, working with listed companies felt intimidating. Later, we realized that with professional expertise and a clear vision, we could engage with them confidently.”
In the third phase, XJ Studio began collaborating with property developers on sales centers and public facilities. Years of accumulated experience allowed the team to broaden its reach and bring its design approach to a wider range of spaces.
總監特別喜歡一句話：
「學歷是銅牌，能力是銀牌，人際關係是金牌，而擁有思考能力的人，才是真正的王牌。」
在快速變動的時代裡，他始終相信，比起侷限自己能做什麼，更重要的是保持學習、保持思考，持續創造新的可能。
The Design Director often quotes a saying he strongly believes in:
“Education is a bronze medal, ability is a silver medal, relationships are a gold medal, but the ability to think is the ultimate advantage.”
In a rapidly changing world, he believes that continuous learning and critical thinking are essential. Rather than limiting what is possible, he encourages embracing new challenges and creating opportunities through an open and evolving mindset.

談到《旋律之間》這個作品，相即設計總監分享，設計發想源自屋主所經營的黑膠唱片探針臂產業。
「過去的住宅設計，客廳往往是家的中心。」總監說道。因此在這個案子裡，團隊將圓形餐桌放置於空間核心，如同唱盤靜靜佇立於唱片機中央。而設計師則像唱針一般，當唱針落下的瞬間，旋律開始流動，空間的故事也由此展開。

“Traditionally, the living room has always been the heart of the home,” he explains.
The team placed a round dining table at the center of the space, much like a record on a turntable. The designer saw himself as the tonearm—once the needle touches the record, the melody begins, and the story of the space unfolds.
從客廳中央的圓桌，到帶有弧度的中島，再到挑空樓梯與天花延展而出的曲線，整體空間以流動的弧形語彙彼此串聯。原本生硬的結構樑體，也透過設計轉化為柔和的弧線，彷彿不同聲部的音符相互交織，共同譜寫出屬於這個家的旋律。
From the round dining table at the center of the living space, to the curved kitchen island, and the sweeping lines of the staircase and ceiling, the entire home is connected through a flowing language of curves.
Even the originally rigid structural beams were transformed into soft, elegant forms, creating a sense of movement throughout the space. Like different musical notes weaving together, these elements compose a unique melody that belongs to this home.
總監認為，設計最珍貴的並非形式本身，而是當空間真正回應居住者的人生故事時所產生的情感共鳴。《旋律之間》不只是黑膠文化的轉譯，更是一段關於創業歷程、家庭記憶與生活軌跡的空間敘事。
「當我們把這個概念完整呈現出來的時候，不只感動了屋主，也感動了我們自己。」
For the Design Director, the most meaningful aspect of design is not the form itself, but the emotional resonance that emerges when a space reflects the life story of its owner.
More than an interpretation of vinyl culture, Melody Between tells a story of entrepreneurship, family memories, and the passage of time through space.
“When the concept was fully realized, it resonated not only with the homeowner, but with our team as well.”
